The Perfect Giveaway: Lost Bird Found

I first found out how to eat a pomegranate from watching You Tube.  Thankfully, I didn’t have to stain my white walls or splash the ceiling before I figured it out.  I’d actually never even heard of the fruit before a few years ago.  Makes me wonder how I grew up without splitting the flesh and popping the seeds.  Tangy perfection always ends in a smile, at least with our three girls.  I love how they appear before the poinsettia in grocery’s aisles, at least in our western corner of the world. Starfruit, kiwi and the dragon fruit have nothing on the pomegranate.

Soon after I moved to the island, a designer and writer moved from the east coast to the island’s west side.  We wore similar super-cool glasses, we were both from Massachusetts.  People said we had to be friends; we were skeptical of one another.  Soon, we shared pizza, parties, inside jokes and a link in the creative realm, while our children shared sweatshirts, favorite stories and sleepovers.

Sara is a designer, of Sara Jensen Design, with a heart for the story an image tells.  She’s cleverly quick, precise in color and spot-on in image narrative.  She’s designed so many things, including this blog, but it’s her bag I can’t live without.  Last holiday season, I sent her tote bag to just about every solid female friend in my life who lived out of county.  It wasn’t long before I heard stories of the totes making airplane travel, grocery dashes and beach dates simpler.

Things I’ve fit in my tote:  21 library books; two loaves of bread, cutting board, a six-pack of pbr, and a pound of extra sharp cheddah; 32 granny squares, a crochet hook and various balls of yarn; two American Girl dolls, a weeks worth of dolly clothes, four Hello Kitty coloring books and a brand new box of Crayola crayons; island grown carrots, three giant zucchini squash, and four farmer’s market pints of berries; five pairs of sandy flip flops and two salt water soaked beach towels.

Yup.  The Pomegranate Tote is a sturdy tote.

I love mine, and I want you to have one in the color of your choice.
